Open Enrollment is over. Can I still get insured?
You may still have some post-enrollment options.
There are circumstances in which individuals qualify for special enrollment, meaning outside the open enrollment period. If you attempted to enroll before the March 31, 2014 deadline but were unable to complete the process due to difficulties such as heavy traffic to the exchange website or the marketplace call center, technical issues, the inability to secure time to work with an agent or similar issues, you may still be eligible to obtain a policy if you act quickly. You must complete your enrollment by April 15, 2014.
You may also still be able to enroll if you’ve experienced a qualifying life event. These include getting married, adding a child to your family, losing your job and health coverage, moving to a new area, suffering an unexpected medical issue and divorce. An agent can help you identify if you’ve undergone a qualifying life event and are still eligible to enroll. Generally, you are given an additional 60 days after a qualifying life event to secure coverage, with plans made available through your employer allowing for an extra 30 days.
Whether any of the above applies to you or not, don’t worry! Our agents are still able to help you. Call 877-434-1904 today.
